Last Friday night we went over to one of Heath's friends house from high school...thank you Jin for being SUCH an amazing hostess!  I didn't take a single picture but stole this off of Emily's facebook.  Emily and Erin are 2 of Heath's friends from high school :)

The next day we went to our friend Jacob Burns' 1st Birthday...he even had a really awesome choo choo train!!

hi mom!

how cool is that thing?!

Auntie Amy with the Birthday Boy!

The Houlton's just before they leave for Japan again :( We will miss you guys!

I think this is when the attitude started for the day...or maybe this was right after he decided to chase the choo choo around the ENTIRE park...who knows...

Austin and my beautiful goddaughter Alyssa

Mr. Friendly

How cute are those cupcakes!

Last ride of the day..us with the birthday boy

The Burns :)

Right about here is when we probably should have left...Tyler started running kids over in this bad boy...watch out Brady!

Prepare for a meltdown in 5...4..3..2..

We left immediately after this picture...Tyler was about 2 hours passed nap time and had a COMPLETE meltdown after this...he was THAT kid at the party.  So embarassing...I honestly didn't know what to do with him because I have never experienced something so dramatic...it was HORRIBLE.

We hadn't even made it to the corner of the street ( I could still see the park at this point) and I turn back to see this...mmm yeah...this is one kid that really needs his nap...I blame myself sometimes for having him on such a strict schedule that when he gets thrown off...he is a little pistol...did I mention this was the day Heath went dirt bike riding so I got to deal with the biggest meltdown ever without him?  mmmhhhmmm...this was not a good day....
Later that night we went to a bbq for Erynn's bridal party and believe it or not I didn't take a single picture!

happy birthday to my favorite little person in the whole wide world....

Today my little love turns 2.  I sit here as he is napping and just look back at how wonderful these past 2 years have been and how much our life has changed....110% for the better.  I knew I would someday have children because well, that's just usually what happens a couple of years after you get married...right?...well I had NO idea how much love I had in me for another person.  I had no clue how much my life and outlook would change...pretty much 180 for this little man.  He is my whole.entire.world.  There is no explanation that anyone without children can understand...its one of those 'you have to experience it to know it' type feelings.  I wake up every morning missing him, wanting to go wake him, I still go into his room and watch him sleep.  I work from home and wouldn't have it any other way.  I could never imagine not being by this guys side almost 24-7.  Thinking about preschool gives me anxiety just because he makes my days THAT much better.  My mom took him last Friday over night and I came home and just felt empty.  I know it sounds crazy but he is a part of me...we are together all the time and I honestly couldn't imagine it any different.  Staying home is worth ever.single.sacrifice.  I told Heath, if we had to make sacrifices for me to stay home, I would 110% live in a one bedroom apartment, drive one car and not shop for 5 years for myself if i had to, just to be able to stay home with my little man.  Don't get me wrong there are those days momma needs a break but they aren't often.  PS - Yesterday was one of those days...you were THAT kid at our good friend Jacob's birthday party...but today you made up for it...kind of... ;)

Here is my letter to my big bad 2 year old..

Dear Tyler,

Your dada and I love you WAY more than you will EVER know.  You are so perfect for us in so many ways.  You talk up a storm...repeat everything we say...you are our little parrot, sometimes good, sometimes not.  I love how friendly and social you are with everyone (wonder where you get that from? ;), I love how much you love our Grandparents and us.  I love how every morning when I come to get you out of your crib you say 'hi mommy!' quickly followed with 'i love you mommy'  You are 2 today and I hate to sound cliche, but seriously these have been the fastest and best two years of our lives.  Not only have you brought you dada and I even closer together than ever, you have helped us form an amazing bond between the 3 of us.  You have brought out a side of your dada I never knew existed.  He loves you SO much and he just lights up when he comes home to you waiting outside for him.  I love watching you and him together, play, laugh, wrestle, even at mommy's expense.  :) I know you are going to be successful at ANYTHING you do, I can tell at the ripe age of 2...you are amazing and I can not wait to watch you grow. Love you forever and ever.

xoxo,
Mommy :)

We had a birthday party today for Tyler at gymboree with his 20 closest buds and it was a hit...here is one pic to sum up the day so far...more to come!

And just for fun...the 3 of us on May 29 in 2009-2011 :)
