l.a. county fair time!

Ok, so I have NEVER been to the LA County Fair...I know...weird...especially considering I spent 4 years at Cal Poly Pomona....about a mile from the fair....well my mom called us up on Sunday after seeing the baby and dog beach and asked if we wanted to go to the fair with her, my stepdad and my Aunt!! We agreed and headed there! I did not expect it to be so HUGE!!! I was overwhelmed!!!! But we had such a great time!!!

At the fair we bought these candle ear wax things...I have heard a lot about them..they are supposed to suck all the wax out of your ears...we are always up for trying new things...so we did it at home..interesting... haha

dog beach!

After we saw Mike, Sonja and baby John, we took Bailey to the dog beach in Huntington! We had such a great time...she loves running through the sand!!! We tried to get her in the water but today she wasn't havin it!

baby burns...

Baby Burns has arrived....well, he arrived on September 6th!! I was so excited!! The day before (Friday, the 5th) Sonja came down to my work and we went to lunch...well I think the lunch did it! Later that night she started having contractions!! She ended up giving birth to Bo Dilly errr... Joeseph....errrrr John Michael Burns (long story :-) at 5:45pm!! :)

Mike and Heath and their UCLA vs. USC battle never stops....

Last week, I also had the opportunity to take John's newborn photos! This was my first newborn photoshoot! I have assisted shooting at a couple of weddings and have had a blas, so I thought I would try out babies!! He was the perfect model baby!!! Check out one of the pics!!! I will post more later!

So this is the 2nd year we have had UCLA Season Tickets! As you all know, Heath is a HUGE USC fan, but because a lot of our friends get tickets every year and we have a great time, he sucks up his pride about 7 times a year....at the games... :) We have so much fun! We get to the stadium super early (like 7 hours before game time, tailgate, bbq, drink, hang out)...Labor Day was the first game of the season, so we drove straight from Palm Springs to the game and got there at 10:30 for the 5:00 game. It was so great to see everyone again!!

Sonja was due September 3rd, and this was Sept. 1st, she is such a trooper! :)

Mike's team was in playoffs and he even flew home for the game! (Well...his wife was also ready to pop, so that might be the reason he came home :)

palm springs for labor day...

I am on a roll with the blogging....probably because Heath is watching football...I am officially a Football Widow...anyway...for Labor Day every year my mom gets a timeshare for a week, so on Saturday we headed out for a weekend of sun and gambling!! :)

So after our Tahoe got stolen, we got another one, well a Yukon this time...(don't ask why we got another gas hog...talk to Heath :)....any way...I never drive it, but the one day I did I noticed it was hitting 1,000 miles! Little things like this excited me...I know...weird, right?

I just realized my MPH on the second one..oops...driving while taking pics...shhhh...I am a professional...don't worry...

Here is our new car...at least I talked him out of getting another black car...

4 week old baby...and me....

My friend and a photographer that works with me just had a baby 4 weeks ago and asked me to watch her while she shot an engagement...of course I agreed! I LOVE babies!! Well, she was only supposed to be gone about 2 hours....around the time she was supposed to come home...my phone rang...poor thing lost her car key in the sand...long story short...her hubby finally got to sneak away work and drive to pick her up...he is a cop, so they flew home on PCH...so the 2 hours turned into 6 hours! I didn't mind...Addison is such a good baby! We had a great time! :)

We were watching Deal or No Deal rooting for the lady to win...here is Addison's cheer!

Ahh too much work...back to sleep! :)

bunco nights...

Ahhhh call us old ladies, me and my girls LOVE our bunco nights...

I started the Bunco group about 2 years ago after my bachelorette party...

ahhh memories...I had to post these...probably the best trip with my girls in my life....love you girls! We need another cruise trip asap....4 days of drunkeness, girl talk and mexico :)

ok anyway.....a lot of the girls at my BP didn't know each other before it, but became great friends after...well I wasn't about to be one of those girls who stops hangin out after the old ball & chain happened...so once a month me and my girls get together at each others houses and drink wine, gossip....oh and sometimes win money playing bunco! Last month it was at my house last minute because Sonja was about to pop and was too nervous she would go into labor and we would all be at her house...I can't believe I haven't taken any pictures until now...

Then we play...They are taking this bunco thing a little too seriously..
