another visit to gg's....

Last weekend Heath left us for Kennedy Meadows to go dirt bike riding with Doug (my friend Erynn's dad)  I told him to bring the camera but he said no, he wouldn't have time to take pics...come to think of it...I don't know if I have EVER seen Heath take a picture...hmmm we are going to have to change that.  I can't wait for Doug to send the pics, the place sounds awesome!  So when daddy was away for what seemed like FOREVER...3 days...we played!  My mom, Tyler and I headed out to my Gramma's for the a couple of days.  We always have so much fun there, just veggin' out, playin' games, drink' champagne, cookin' dinner.  I love those times I can spend with my two favorite ladies.  My gramma LOVES Tyler and it is so fun to watch him with her.

oh the windmills..

score...

Blow up pool alligator with bike pump - 1, Mommy - 0

I literally pumped that stupid bike pump for almost an hour...oh the things we do for our kids...at least I won't have to go to the gym for a month ;)

Ta da...me and the ally have a love/hate relationship

He wasn't too sure about this big alligator, I don't blame him, she was a beast...

Didn't take long for him to LOVE it...ggrrreeeat

I don't like you...stop looking at me

He did not want to get out...he was loving it...made all that pumping worth it.

Since my gramma's house is all tile, we tried to make some knee pads for Tyler...as you can see they didn't really work.

Gramma's chasing him around the house...it was a good race..they move at the same pace :)

My Gramma's other house in Lake Havasu closed escrow just minutes before this toast...yay!  We were so excited...

Time for a BBQ

Ok, my mom worked on getting this BBQ lit for over an HOUR...I walked over and had it going within 5 minutes...felt good to teach my mom a thing about cooking for once. :)  Love you mom :)

The next morning we woke up to homemade donut holes from Gramma...yuummmmm

and back to see ally...

I don't know what it is about Gramma's but they can put any kid to sleep...I wanted her to come home with me...I could use her...oh about 3 times a day ;)

We had such a great time!  Thanks for having us Gramma, we can't wait to come back soon! :)

14 months old??

How is this possible?  I can not believe how much Tyler is growing every.single.day.  I tell Heath...he is a new kid today...he did this, said this and threw this (he has a thing for throwing..everything..)

*My lazy child didn't start crawling until he was 12.5 months, but I was totally fine with it...things get 10 times harder when they start moving...around that same time he started pulling himself up and EVERYTHING and cruising like a mad man.  he changed...literally, overnight.  Craziest experience of a parents life...to see your child all day everyday and still notice them changing.
*He talks up a storm and always has, now he is repeating almost everything we say, so we really have to watch it :) He said thank you today on his own and it made me so proud :)  He says dada, mama, dog, ball, woof, thank you (it sounds more lake tank oo -- but whatever i get it :), bubbles, up, baby, no no, nigh nigh (night night), and pretty much anything else we say.
* If he sees something really cool he says oooooooooo...might just be the cutest.thing.ever.  I can never get enough of it.
* He still has never thrown up or burped up.ever.
* Hasn't ever been sick (with the exception of a minor cold)
* Loves the tie blankets my mom makes for him, he rubs them on his lips...just like his mommy, I love rubbing material, or my fingernails across my lips...I know weird...but I have always been this way.
* He still has 6 teeth
* Right now he is a lefty...and LOVES playing with any ball.  He will point them out a mile away, and don't even think about taking one away from him if he has it.  He plays catch with Heath and I, and I must say he is pretty darn good.  Then he puts the ball in his right hand, transfers to his left and throws.  I try to get him to use his right hand, but nope always puts everything in the left.
* He is the nosiest child too...when we go out he will STARE at people and make noises until they look at him then flash them a HUGE smile and wave his arms
* He blows kisses when he says bye sometimes not on command
* He LOVES books
* He wakes up and just plays in his crib for about 30 minutes alone after naps and in the morning...just talking away to himself.  I love it...I am always so tempted to go get him but know its good for him to just sit there by himself and talk away.
* I miss him when he sleeps...I know...weirdo
* He still has not stayed overnight without me...soon....soon
* His nickname in his new gymboree class is 'the comedian' - great...i see 'class clown' in our future

Ok here are some pics over the past 2 months of our little man...the light of our eyes....

This kid would do ANYTHING to get a ball...

This is how he sleeps 90% of the time...so stinking cute..

He loves walks in his wagon...

...and swings...

and his new ball pit...

swings with daddy and bailey...

first time down the slide alone...mommy was nervous...daddy pushed him...he LOVED it

Teryaki chicken...ugh...mess

silly dad...

Shhh we will let daddy think this...for now... ;)

concert in the park...

ave I mentioned how much we LOVE summer...there are so many reasons, hot sun, longer days of sunlight, tanned skin, pool time, playdates, park fun, swings, and concerts in the park!  I love that a lot of cities are doing this!  We went to the concert in the park a couple of Sundays ago, just the three of us, and has such a great time.  Great music, LOTS of people watching, just sat on a blanket in the grass for the full 90 minutes and enjoyed 'us'.  Summertime always reminds me that life is good, and I truly love my life, I couldn't ask for anything more...not even a million dollars...I love us, just the way we are!

Takin' it all in...
