6 years!

Happy 6 Year Anniversary to my rock, my love, my one and only...always and forever.  4 houses, 5 cars and 2 beautiful kids later...I couldn't be happier.  I truly am more in love with him than I was when I said 'I do'...I am not going to get all sappy in this post, so instead I am going to share what we did for our big day...September 29th was our actual anniversary, but we celebrated a day early...my Aunt Patty watched the little ones, and we set out around 9:00am...we had been trying to plan a spa day and couldn't decide on Glen Ivy, the Montage Spa, Hyatt Spa, etc, etc.  Then the day before our celebration Heath sent me this link to the spa at the Disney Grand Californian Resort & Spa...the Mandara Spa.  Done...great idea honey. :)  We had breakfast at the Storytellers Cafe with a couple characters (too bad everything on the menu contained milk or eggs, so I had to get the super $$ buffet and have next to nothing since I am nursing my allergic baby girl :(  It was still a great experience though. :)

After breakfast we headed into DCA and went on California Screamin' rollercoaster and tried to go into the bar by Ariel's Grotto only to find out it didn't open until noon...haha I guess we were a little excited for our adult day at Disney and wanted bloody mary's at 10am....oopsie! Around noon we headed into the spa which was steps from the park...so convenient.  The spa was small but the staff was GREAT!  I booked three treatments for us (a back massage, foot massage and facial).  I asked the front desk girl if we could turn the back and foot massage into a 'couples' thing.  She accommodated me and was super nice about it!  The massages were AMAZING...this place is a little hidden gem...it wasn't crowded AT ALL...I was the only person in the Sauna and most of the time in the locker-room ...so nice compared to some of the bigger spas I have been to.  After our services we showered and then headed to Downtown Disney to the UVA Circle bar and had some beers before heading home for the day....it was SUCH a nice, exciting but relaxing, much needed adult day.  It was nice to have adult conversations with my husband without being interrupted....oh the things we take for granted! :)

Well hello Chip!

That's all I could eat :( The cinnamon roll was for Heath....

Don't mind the west-sider behind us ;)

Beer tasting :)

Don't mind me....this was after our spa day...no makeup, washed hair without product, etc....super cute.

That night we grabbed the kids and headed out to a GREAT sushi place in Anaheim Hills, it was our first time there and it was delicious...Tyler even liked it and wanted to eat 'the fish'...
Happy 6 years love....cheers to many many more...I said '80 more' last night and he looked at me funny...hey, we can live until we are in our 100's right? ha!

brooke harper schwegman....

Welcome to the world my precious baby girl!!!!  Oh boy, so about 8 months ago when I found out Erynn was pregnant I was OVERJOYED! So excited for her and Adam to get to experience the best thing in life ...together.

Her and Adam agreed not to find out the sex of the baby....but let me tell you, as soon as Erynn told me that I laughed and said 'You of all people?! There is no way you are going to make it the whole 9 months...no WAY!' Well...I was at her house the day after she had her 20 week ultrasound and she was telling me how incredibly hard it was to sit through the entire thing not knowing...by the end of the conversation I knew she was going to call and set up an appt ASAP to find out...she called me later that day to tell me Brielle was going to have a new BFF :)  This little stinker hid it from everyone else the ENTIRE pregnancy!  I was SHOCKED she didn't even tell her mom.  But glad she found out because I knew it was killing her! :)

She was due September 30th (on her one year anniversary) and I told her she was allowed to have the baby ANY day BUT September 22nd, because one of my good friends and lil' bro in college was getting married...in Pasadena! :)  The ceremony was at 2:00 and at 2:11, she text me her water broke and at 2:32 she said 'Headed to hospital'....really Brooke?  Hehe, you are not listening to your Auntie! :), well Erynn kept me posted and of course we stayed at the wedding...when we left, I was still getting updates from Adam...you see Erynn and I made this agreement when we found out we were both pregnant that we would be in the delivery room with each other this time.  She was in the room with my, my mom and Heath when Brielle was born and she videotaped the birth.  I was glad she got to experience it from the 'other' side...so special...so now it was my turn to be the videographer! :)
I got to the hospital a little before 10pm...we hung out, visited etc until about 1am when the doctor gave her the epidural and checked her...she was still 3cm (the same as she was the week before at the doc's office)...her mom, her dad, her nana and I made the executive decision to go back to her parent's house, sleep for a bit and wait for the phone call...so we left around 1:30, got to sleep around 2 and Erynn text me at 3:15am she text me 'I'm a 6. She will check in again in 2 hours unless baby shows any abnormal signs of something going on' I wrote her back 'sounds good' and she wrote 'keep sleeping!' haha so that I did!

Around 4:40 Adam called Erynn's mom to say she was at a 10 and we needed to get there ASAP! I literally hopped out of bed and stood in the hall with my eyes shut waiting for everyone to pile in the car...soooo sleepy! :)  I text her 'Cross your legs and hold that baby in! Doug is driving at the speed of light'  We arrived just after 5:00 am and RAN as fast as we could up to the room....the doc wasn't there yet 'phew!'  I got the camera ready and was SOOOO excited to witness a birth, and not any birth but my best friend's baby girl!

Around 5:15 the doctor arrived and Erynn started pushing....about 3 contractions in, I looked over at Adam who turned completely white, just as the baby was coming out he went and sat down on the chair.  I knew something wasn't right!  The doctor says 'dad are you okay?' lol, clearly...he wasn't, they got him some juice and just after the baby came out he went over to the couch and put his legs up, I couldn't help but laugh and SO glad I have it all on video...amazing Adam...him of all people {a fireman} to get queasy....we laughed about it later....but beautiful Brooke Harper was born at 5:32am, 8 pounds, 11 ounces and 20 inches long.  Big, healthy, perfect baby girl.

I was so honored to be a part of such a big day and can't thank my BFF enough for allowing me to be a part of it...it was amazing! :)  I went home around 7:30am, and thank goodness it was a Sunday I was able to sleep a little more than normal {thanks to the hubs for watching the kiddos all day!}
Here are some pics from the day...I will post more later when I get them from E....

Patiently waiting :)

Love this pic of Teresa trying to fit under the armrests to lay flat to sleep...who designed these waiting rooms anyway?!

5:00am in the elevator ready to meet baby Brooke!

There she is! Happy BIRTH day baby girl!

Beautiful little fam!

I finally get to hold the princess the next day! :)

Precious!

disneyland and the la county fair...

We started our Disneyland passes back in July and try to go as often as possible, especially since I could probably throw a rock at Disneyland from my work...it's pretty close..so it's been nice to meet Heath and the kids there after work :)  The best part is, since we have passes, we can just go for a couple of hours and not have to rush because we know we can always come back :)

It's Halloween time at Disneyland!

Last Thursday, Papa couldn't pick up Tyler from school because he had a doc appt so Nana took off work early and picked him up.  She kept him for the night since she had to come back on Friday anyway to watch the kids...her and Grandpa Al took Tyler to the LA County Fair.  I was kind of bummed we didn't get to go this year...but from the looks and sounds of it....Tyler had an absolute blast!  Thanks for the pictures momma!

He won Superman..haha

This picture is priceless! My mom is quite the photographer...hahah

'happy' 7 months to my precious little angel...

Today is a bitter sweet day...my little princess is s-e-v-e-n months old..WHAT?! What happend to months 2-6?  Holy smokes...things are so different this time than they were with T....with him I just couldn't wait for him to grow up and see what he would be like, what his personality was going to be, when he would walk, how he would talk, etc....but with Brielle, since I know she is my last I am trying to cherish every.single.moment,  I really want her to stay a baby forever.  Now that I am back at work I think I hold on to this a little more.  Every night after her last feeding and she falls asleep I rock her and hold her in her sleep for a long time...I just love on her, hug her, cuddle her, kiss her...all while she is sleeping because I know first hand how fast they grow and am afraid to let her grow...I want her to stay my innocent little baby forever...

Brielle,

You are my angel baby...your brother was a pretty happy baby but you have him topped {I think}, even with your miserable, very bad, no good itchy, itchy eczema you still flash a smile all day everyday.  How did we get so lucky...you are such a joy to be around and everyday when I get home I run to you so excited to see you and your brother....I miss you.

You love to put EVERYTHING in your mouth, much opposite of your bro...you spit up often, still to this day your brother has never spit up, thrown up, nothing...you are my little girl.  I was getting my nails done the other day {for the first time in a VERY long time} and my eyes welled up with tears because I was thinking of you and how one day I hope to share those little fancy treats with my daughter.  My 'daughter'...wow....you are 7 months old and I still can't believe you are mine...well I guess I should say 'ours', your daddy thinks your pretty darn special too :)  I just love watching him with you...he was pretty affectionate with your brother but oh boy....it's different...it's a love I can relate to with your Grandpa, who is in heaven.  I watch you two and am giddy with excitement knowing you are going to have an amazing relationship with your amazing daddy.

You are SO active....whoa..momma isn't used to this....again, your brother was NOT a mover...at a year old his crib was still elevated to the very top and his bumpers stayed in because he never moved...he slept on his back barely tilting his head from side to side....you girl..you are EVERYWHERE...you turn on your little in crib aquarium all the time, you start on one side of the crib and an hour later in your sleep you somehow move to the other flipped around.  You have never had bumpers because you not only like to sleep on your stomach but you like to burrow your face into the mattress...no good for mommy's worry wart self.  You are such an easy baby to calm and please.  We took you to Disneyland tonight and you loved it...

I love that we found an AMAZING nanny to care for you all day so mommy doesn't have to stress out even more about your health and safety...I also LOVE that you get to grow up with your cousin Reid...I love that you guys are together all day 3 times a week.  She is going to be like a sister to you one day, I just know it!  {Now if only we could convince daddy to let you get her ears pierced with her next week---that would be awesome!} ;)

Today we got some not so good news...we got your blood test results back and found out you are allergic to eggs, peanuts, milk and dogs...In the spectrum of 1-6 - 1 being low, 2- moderate, 3- high and 4-6 very high, you scored eggs - 3/6, peanuts 3/6, milk 2/6 and dogs 1/6.  I had a mix of emotions when I got the news..as much as I was expecting SOMETHING, I wasn't expecting ALL of this.  I was relieved to have some answers finally but devastated by what they were.  I hear you can outgrow some of these over time..or not....I hope for the best but until then, I am going to do whatever I can to keep you safe and healthy....I love you baby girl.

Sorry for the silly iPhone pics...my camera isn't working right now :( BOOOO
