angels brick foundation...

The day after the accident, Heath and I decided to order a brick for Patrick to be placed at the Angels stadium...for many reasons. Patrick's LOVE for the game of baseball was evident...he was born to play and was a big Angels fan. Also, the first time Heath and Patrick actually met and hung out was at an Angels game. This is where they 'hit it off' :) We had such a great time at the game with the Rooney's and am so glad we had this one picture from our night out. Now everytime we go to an Angel game, we will walk over and visit his brick. My dad also has a brick there, so it is a very special place for us! :) We love and miss you Patrick! See you in heaven! :)

home improvement 101.....

I have taken 'nesting' to a whole NEW level! haha...our house is ALMOST finally done!! Woo Hoo!! Our tile is in...what a HUGE difference!! I love it! Looks like a whole new house!! As if we didn't have enough going on, in the midst of all this we decided to re-do our master bedroom closet...off to the Container Store we went...LOVE the Elfa products! :) So not only did I not have an ENTIRE downstairs for a month...now I didn't have a closet either...torture for a pregnant woman! Here is before, during and after pics of our closet!

BEFORE:

All ripped out!

Oh, we decided to paint it too...haha

All of our clothes were spread throughout the house...in the bathroom, guest room, hallway....it was fabulous...

And ALMOST FINISHED....this is the start of putting our clothes back...

Almost all in! Feels SO good to be organized again with NOTHING on the floors of the closet! Woo hoo!

Now...we REALLY need to get that nursery completed...let alone started!

Reese Paytin Rooney!

Welcome to the world Miss Reese Paytin Rooney! March 4, 2009 was a very special day! Little girl couldn't wait until her anticipated due date of March 17th (St. Patrick's Day) she just had to come a little early! Erynn spent 19 hours in labor...poor thing! But I was so glad to be there most of the time with her. Thanks Erynn for inviting me to share this amazing moment with you! :) It was definetly an emotional day...we were all missing Patrick so much that day, wishing he could be there for the birth of his precious baby girl. I am sure he WAS there, watching over...helping Erynn through it. She only pushed for 8 MINUTES! After all that time, and it only took 8 minutes to get her out! P was there :) I am so excited to be an Auntie to such a special little girl. She is beautiful!

Auntie Krissi and Grandpa patiently waiting...

Uncle Sean, who had just left for spring training 2 days before, was able to fly in and make it for the birth!

On February 25th we headed down to USC (yuck! :) to see Colin Rooney play baseball! It was just me, Heath and Erynn! We had a great time even though it was freezing and all us two pregnant girls wanted were bean & cheese burritos (which we later got after the game). Colin didn't play that game, but it was still fun to come support him! And the best part...they kicked USC's butt!! Woo Hoo!! :)

valentines day....

We started off our Valentines Day this year with a trip to Home Depot....how romantic! We bought new tiles for our downstairs and Heath wanted to take a class on installing it...so being the wonderful wife I am...I agreed to attend the class with him...ha! After the class Heath came home and began the demo of the HORRIBLE carpet and tile we had...it was only a year old but was in the worst shape...bye bye gross flooring!!

That night, my Gramma came into town and we hadn't seen her in a while, so we headed over to my Aunt Becky's house and had Filet Mignon with my Aunt's and Gramma! It was a fun night with the girls...Heath was a lucky man...haha!

Our BIG ultrasound...

On January 13th we had our big ultrasound...the important one where they check EVERYTHING with the baby. It was about an hour long and we saw LOTS of the little guy. He is measuring right on schedule and everything was perfect! Here are some pictures of him!

Isn't he handsome!
